Evil wizard (who is cursed) gets banished from the land and ends up finding love. After all the evilness he's done to conquer the realm to help his childhood friend. Now he is on his own... actually not. Awesome sidekick and the humor from their relationship is fun to read.
I love this kind of fantasy quest, with high stakes and time-sensitivity, trying to break a dooming curse in search of a cure or answer. Great world-building with a character-driven story, the first in the series. Awesome cover art as well.
