5 Reviews: Happy Release Day to All Better Now and Julia on the Go
😀 ALL BETTER NOW - 5 🌟 This may be my fav book of this author now @simonteen
Had a lot of fun with these characters. If you know this author, then you know you're in for an action-adventure non, nonstop fun, sci-fi, chosen one trope, race against time, saving the world kind of feeling, evil corporation or Ceo/scientist in lead kind of villain. Dynamic writing, different POVs. I loved the cat-and-mouse relationship the characters gave, and the end was awesome. That last paragraph is 5 stars 👌.
This one is a new virus, a new pandemic; pros and cons to this one, people wanting to spread it, others fighting it all with different agendas. It raises very cool questions, and although it is a YA, I think the readers of books like The Measure will appreciate it.
💦JULIA ON THE GO The Big Splash - 4.5 🌟 @tundrabooks
Very exciting to see a second volume appear. Jumped into this one immediately. What I love most about this series is that it is very subtle in giving advice, and good life lessons and showing the worries of the adults (relatable with contemporary times) still focusing on Julia and her issues as a pre-teen. She misses her coach, she can't connect to the new one who is very rigid and comes across as mean, but she understands that people have different opinions and that what seems one thing may not be. That works for Olivia, who in the end can be a good friend and the new coach who did his best to save their team.
Working together and respecting others. Very sweet and easy to read, too. I also love the covers of this series.
I love both formats book and audio.

🧚♀️ FAIRY DOOR DIARIES : @candlewick 4.5 stars 🌟 What a sweet, cozy wonderful adventure. We learn about a magical world with fairies, evil winds, and naughty witches. But Eliza and Hazel don't quit and find a way to break curses and bring peace. The artist was the perfect choice to bring this story alive. Each illustration is an amazing painting.
BAD BADGER: Short and easy to read. Wonderful friendship story and growth of character. Learning to be conscious about others and how our actions affect others. two friends that couldn't be more different, learn about the differences and accept and respect them, but also find a lot of relatable things that make their friendship stronger. I love the Italian references from his passion for opera. (The snails were amazing)
I loved the narrator, and it's quite fun as an audio.
🧛♀️ CARMILLA : 5 stars @librofm This was first published in 1817. It falls in my category of gothic classic well-written books that became the model for many authors after. I am glad to have added it to my read list. This "Dracula" female version is fantastic. I recommend it as an audiobook. The narrator is awesome. One I will reread during my October moody era, but this time, I tried the audiobook.
